2. This mill was originally built to grind flour for the troops posted in Kent during the Napoleonic Wars. Dated 1812. Built over the River Dour. 6 storeys, the lower 3 storeys of brick, the upper 3 storeys of white weatherboarding. Eaves cornice. 4 sashes. Projecting lucan on the south side and a flint and weatherboarded annexe to the east. The water wheel has been covered- over.
