Description

TR 3141 DOVER EFFINGHAM CRESCENT 685/2/37F School House 17.12.73 GV II Boarding school building. 1880, probably by Henry Hayward of Dover, in Gothic style with some Romanesque features. Flint with stone dressings and tiled roof. Three storeys and attics with irregular fenestration. Sash windows, some mullioned and transomed, some round-headed and some plain. End bays project with gables with some blank arcading. Centre has hipped dormers. Round-headed doorcase approached up a flight of stairs with pierced stone balustrading.
