Description

TR 2235 NW 5/253 FOLKESTONE SANDGATE ROAD (north west side) 132, 134 Former Williams and Glyns Bank, No 134A (Formerly listed as 132, 134 Williams and Glyns Bank No 134A, previously listed as Williams and Glyns Bank, No 132) II Circa 1890 in the style of the Grand and New Metropole Hotels. Two storeys red brick with buff tiled dressings. Green slate roof. The front elevation has a corner octagonal turret. No 132 has a three-light canted bay through all floors and a modern shop front. The Bank has a Venetian window to the first floor and a cambered window to the ground floor. The left side elevation has three dormers having double sashes with modern curved pediments above. Two octagonal turrets decorated with wreaths. Two paired cambered sashes, a Venetian window and three small, round-headed lights. String-courses between floors. Plinth. Doorcase set in corner with balustrading above 'and rusticated Tuscan columns. Another doorcase with plain brick pilasters having tiled capitals. Listing NGR: TR2246235741
