Description

TQ 96 SE TEYNHAM OZIERS ROAD (north side) 3/167 Barn 20 yards west of Oziers Farmhouse GV II Barn. Mid C16. Timber framed on flint and rubble plinth and clad with buttressed red brick and corrugated iron roof. Gabled roof with lower hipped extension to right. Double doors to left and hipped end strey to right. Interior: 5 bays and aisles, with quadrant bracing to arcade posts and clasped purlin roof, and 3 bay extension without aisles. Possibly part of Richard Harry's re-introduction of fruit growing to Kent on this site in 1533. Listing NGR: TQ9620963091
