Monument record TQ 77 SW 1091 - Area of probable First or Second World War practice trenches

Summary

The area west of Chattenden and Lodge Hill camps was used in both World Wars for practice and experimental military trench works. These are clearly visible on aerial photographs studied in 2009-2012 during the English Heritage Hoo Landscape project.
