Monument record TR 34 SW 2093 - Site of the Warrant Officers Married Quarters (No 1) at the South Front Barracks, Western Heights, Dover
Summary
Between 1860 and 1870 the accommodation for the Warrant Officer and his family (alongside a variety of other structures) was constructed on the rising ground to the south of the casemated barracks at the South Front Barracks. This structure was a bungalow with a central through passage incorporating a lobby. Three bedrooms were located on the south west side of the passage, with a scullery, kitchen and living room on the other side. (location accurate to the nearest 1m based on available information)
