Full Description
Summarised from report:
Between 1860 and 1870 a Wood and Straw store were constructed (alongside a variety of other structures) on the rising ground to the south of the casemated barracks at the South Front Barracks. A plan dating to 1898 shows the Straw store was aligned north-east to south-west on the southern side of Citadel Road, between the bread and meat store and the waggon store, while the wood store was located immediately to the south of it. (1) by 1903 the wood store have been removed and the straw store replaced by the Troop Stable and store for Mobilization Equipment and Vehicles. (2)
