Monument record TR 34 SW 2100 - Waggon Store of the South Front Barracks, western Heights, Dover

Summary

Between 1871 and 1897 a Waggon was constructed (alongside a variety of other structures) on the rising ground to the south of the casemated barracks at the South Front Barracks. The 1897 plan shows it located on the southern side of Citadel Road, to the north east of the Straw Barn. By 1903 this structure had been replaced by a Modelling Shed/ASC Store and the Victoria Hall Establishment. No further information about the form or function of this structure is available. (location accurate to the nearest 1m based on available information)
