Full Description
An archaeological evaluation carried out in 2017 found what appeared to be a field system and occupation evidence, probably of Roman date. The Roman activity concentrated in trenches 18 and 19. Three ditches, aligned broadly north-west to south-east may represent field boundary ditches. Occupation evidence was also found in the form of two postholes and a ditch. The dating was based ona single sherd of Roman pottery and a lava stone. (1)
