Building record TR 34 SW 2598 - Admiralty Naval Radar Station, Dover Castle

Summary

Admiralty Naval Radar Station, which is located at the far south eastern end of the Castle complex, below the southern end of the eastern ramparts, was constructed in c.1941 in order to monitor enemy shipping. The surviving radar station is an empty hexagonal plan building accessed from above and below by concrete steps.
