Summary
An archaeological evaluation was carried out in 2011 in advance of redevelopment . A single trench was excavated . A large feature spread was found that was sealed by a metalled yard. The yard may have been associated with a medieval building towards the street which was eventually replaced by a post-medieval structure. The post-medieval building was eventually destroyed by the parachute mine that damaged much of Sturry on 18th November 1941
