Full Description
Excavation in 2000-2002 revealed a curving wall foundation which was possibly associated with a mid-Roman building dating to the 2nd to 3rd century. It was constructed of flint cobbles probably
marks an entrance to the enclosed area containing the building, with the fence line on its norther side marking the northern side of the enclosure, though the wall may have been slightly later than the fence, though still has a likley mid-late 2nd century date. (1)
