Summary

Excavation in 2000-2002 carried out as part of the Channel Tunnel Rail Link found evidence of a rectangular enclosure associated with a mid Roman structure (possible portico). The location of the structure and associated enclosure indicates that it formed an integral part of the mid Roman Sanctuary complex. (location accurate to the nearest 1m based on available information)
