Monument record TQ 67 SW 1641 - Possible sunken featured building within property 5 of the Roman road side settlement, Springhead

Summary

Excavations in advance of the Channel Tunnel Rail Link in 2002-3 identified a number of Romano-British property boundaries west of the Ebbsfleet. Within property 5 a large sub rectangular pit was uncovered which has been interpreted as a possible sunken featured building. (location accurate to the nearest 1m based on available information)
