Full Description
The site of a chalk quarry and cement works was located here. It is marked on the Second Edition OS map of the area as being part of the London Portland Cement Works Cement works which first opened in 1825 which went on to produce Portland cement. The site was beiung used as a chalk quarry by the late 19th century and by the start of the 20th century a brick works and cement works was also located here. (1-2). Buildings still stood here in 2008 but had been demolished by the time the 2016 aerial photographs were taken.
