Full Description
During an archaeological evaluation which was carried out by Canterbury Archaeological Trust in 1991 on open ground south and east of the Church of St Peter and St Paul in Swanscombe, A linear cut representing either a ditch or drain was uncovered. It was located at the western end of trench B and was 1.75m wide, fully excavated within the limits of the trench to a depth of 0.35m. The sides of the feature were near vertical and it had a flat base which was 0.6m wide. The fill contained sherds of medieval pottery and tile. (1)
