Monument record TR 26 NE 1374 - Late bronze age to early iron age features, Herne Bay High School
Summary
Archaeological excavation carried out in 2008 uncovered several pits of
late Bronze Age to early Iron Age date, probably dug to quarry the natural
brickearth. A ditch of late Iron Age to early Roman date continued in use as a
boundary after it had silted up.
