Monument record TR 15 NW 2466 - Roman inhumation burials, Station Road West, Canterbury

Summary

Archaeological excavation carried out in 2012 found evidence of 1st/2nd brickearth quarry pits and other ditches followed by the use of the site as an inhumation cemetery, probably in the 4th century. 14 graves (13 burials) were found, part of the wider cemetery found in the area.
