Monument record TQ 67 SW 1769 - Pathways leading towards Roman well discovered during excavations at Springhead.

Summary

Four chalk and gravel pathways were uncovered in an area north of Watling Street during excavations at Springhead. The paths appear to lead between the Roman buildings fronting Watling Street and its Branch Road and a Roman well which was in use throughout the second century. (location accurate to the nearest 10m based on available information)
