Several flint walls were disovered during drainage trench operations at Springhead. They area located within a known area or Roman activity and possibly relate to the site of Roman buildings. A thin chalk floor which was overlain by considerbale quantities of bronze working debris was located close to one of the flint walls and may be associated with it/ point to the function of the building here.
