Monument record TR 35 NW 911 - Romano-British features, Foxborough Hill
Summary
A trial trenching evaluation carried out in 1998 immediately to the west of the Roman road from Richborough to Dover (Margary 100) revealed ditches and gullies of a probable flanking field system dating to the late 1st-early 3rd centuries. Exact location unknown but later fieldwalking report from the site west of Hill Cross Farm states that in 1998 evaluation "immediately to the north" revealed evidence of Romano-British features.
