Summary

An archaeological evaluation carried out in 2017 found several archaeological features comprising gullies, postholes and pits. These contained pottery dating from the late bronze age / early iron age to the Roman period, struck flints, slag and burnt bone. Some of the 'iron age' pottery could perhaps be Anglo-Saxon in date.

Full Description

An archaeological evaluation carried out in 2017 found several archaeological features comprising gullies, postholes and pits. These contained pottery dating from the late bronze age / early iron age to the Roman period, struck flints, slag and burnt bone. Some of the 'iron age' pottery could perhaps be Anglo-Saxon in date.
