Monument record TR 03 NW 161 - Probable Maidstone to Lympne Roman road surface, Bilham Farm
Summary
During an evaluation and strip, map and sample excavation in 2014/15, the probable surface of the Lympne to Maidstone Roman road was seen. At the eastern edge of trench 1079 a NW-SE ditch was seen which ran close to an area of compacted flints c. 20m wide which was on a similar alignment and which probably represents the road surface.
