A small quantity of pits and post holes representing low levcel activity in the 14th century on a site of Craythorne Lane, New Romney. These features cut into an earlier midden deposit. The features comprised three pits, one contained the base of a large 13th century ceramic storage jar, and three post holes. Most features were only recorded in section as they were not discernable from the midden layer. They were overlain by layers of beach shingle and sand which represent a period of disuse of the site folloing the end of the 14th century. (1) (informaiton summarised froum source)
