Full Description
A large ditch was discovered during evaluation trenching that was carried out off Fairfield Road, New Romney, it has a likely Medieval date,. It was discovered in trench 4 seems to have been created
shortly after the storm event based on the dating evidence retrieved from an earlier fill. The full extent of this feature was not established, but its apparently considerable size implies that it may be more than a simple boundary ditch.(1) (information summarised from source)
