Full Description
Two small pits were located towards the northern end of Zone 2 during excavations associated with the construction of the East Kent Access route. These probably represent the earliest features at the tip of the Ebbsfleet peninsula. The pits were sub circular in plan 0.5-0.6m in diameter and up to 0.16m deep with shallow bowl shaped profiles. Both features contained single fills from which worked flint dated to the Bronze Age was recovered. No further late Bronze Age features were identified in Zones 1-3.
