Full Description
Towards the southern end of Zone 4, about 50m to the south of the settlement/activity area, was a cluster of un-urned cremation burials and related features one of which contained Late Bronze Age pottery. In total there were 13 features in this group, 11 of which contained cremated bone and re deposited pyre debris. Two of them contained enough material to be interpreted as un urned cremations, all of the others are partial/re deposited remains. Cremated bone from one of the deposits gave a radio carbon date of 1130-920cal BC and another gave a date of 1260-1010 cal BC placing them in the middle-late Bronze Age.
