A post-medieval track or hollow-way was discovered during evaluation trenching on land to the north east of The Length, St Nicholas At Wade ahead of the development of the site. The feature was identified within trench 7, close to the frontage of The Length, from which a varied collection of artefacts was recovered. The feature was roughly north–south aligned, however there was no trace of its continuation within trench 8 suggesting it either terminated or turned abruptly in the area to the immediate north of trench 7. ther post medieval featured recovered during these investigations include a demolition or levelling deposit which contained many peg tile fragment. The origin of this material remains unknown, but it is possible it might have derived during small-scale development of this area in the post-medieval and modern periods.
