Full Description

Evidence for medieval and post-medieval quarrying was identified during a geotechnical watching brief at King's School International College and Malthouse buildings, Canterbury in 2016. The quarrying appears to be characterised by episodes of quarrying and dumping of material at the site. A single fragment of abraded peg-tile associated with these episodes suggests a medieval or post-medieval date for the quarrying. (1)
