Full Description

Two Anglo-Saxon pits and an agricultural layer were excavated at Barrett's, Canterbury in 1986. These features are described in a desk-based assessment of a nearby property. The pits are thought to have been used for the disposal of rubbish. 10th century pottery was recovered from the fill of one of the features. (1)
