Full Description
Medieval pits were excavated at Canterbury Christ Church University Site 9. One of the pits contained pottery dating to the 15th century. The location of the pits was identified through the desk-based assessment of a nearby property. Pits and other features including ditches near the site indicate land management and occupation activity in the surrounding area. (1)
