Monument record TR 36 SW 1235 - Water hole with a possible Iron Age date - Thanet Parkway

Summary

A large possible waterhole, which was likely in use in the Iron Age, was uncovered during the excavation off Hengist Way, Cliffsend, Thanet, ahead of the construction of Thanet Parkway Rail station. Though the feature was not securely dated, Iron age features in the area surrounding it, including two routeways appear to respect its position.
