Abstract/Summary
Results of a programme of archaeological works comprising archaeological strip, map and sample excavation at land south of the A299 Hengist Way, Cliffsend, Ramsgate, Kent. The archaeological investigations recorded complex archaeological remains across the site. Features identified included some 46 inhumation burials, 17 cremation burials, 15 sunken-featured buildings and the remains of one round-house. Two principal trackways, numerous ditches, pits and post-holes were also recorded.
