Full Description
Possible Roman or Anglo-Saxon quarry pits were excavated at Ivy Lane, Canterbury in 1999. The feature extended beyond the limits of the excavation, therefore their extents could not be determined.Large quantities of slag were associated with the fills of the pits.
Later features at the site include a large number of medieval cess and rubbish pits (TR 15 NE 1695). (1)
