Full Description

Roman floor surfaces were excavated at St Mildred's Tannery, Canterbury in 2004. A series of Roman clay floors, occupation treads, topsoils/pit fill/levelling (some of which may have been pre-Roman in date), a gravel floor, a bedding deposit, and a late Roman/Anglo-Saxon buried ground surface were identified through augering work at the site.
