Full Description
An undated ditch was excavated at Military Road, Cliffsend during a watching brief in 2019-2020. The feature was aligned ENE-WSW and measured 0.76m in width and 0.26m in depth. The ditch had a slightly concave base and sloping sides, and its fill comprised mid grey-brown sandy silt with inclusions of charcoal flecks. It appeared to have been truncated by the nearby road. (Location within 2m based on available information). (1)
