Monument record TQ 92 NE 181 - Medieval industrial features, land adjacent 4 Court Lodge Road, Appledore
Summary
Archaeological evaluation carried out in 2018 investigated what turned out to be a medieval bank (TQ 92 NE 177) but also found late medieval industrial features in the form of flues, probably related to iron working, and probable medieval ditches and a quarry. Post medieval ditches were also identified on the site.
