An undated ditch was identified during an archaeological evaluation at Birchington Vale Holiday Park, Manston. The evaluation was carried out in 2017 in advance of development at the site. Location accurate to the nearest 1m based on available information.

The ditch segment was identified to the north-west of the site. It measured 0.6m in width and 0.06m in depth. Shell fragments were recovered from the fill of the ditch. This feature has been interpreted as a possible boundary ditch, with an alignment similar to field boundaries seen on an 1832 map of the site. However, due to lack of dating evidence it is unclear when the ditch was dug and what its function was.

Two earlier ditches dating to the prehistoric or Roman period were identified to the east of the site (TR 36 NW 1375). (1)
