Full Description
Three stack stands of medieval/post-medieval date were visible as earthworks on RAF/541/484 RP 3026 07-APR-1950. They were recorded as levelled earthworks on Next Perspectives APGB Imagery 07-APR-2021. The southern-most feature was previously recorded as a possible Second World War gun postion (see MWX43174). Although interpreted as stack stands for hay, they may have been small mounds raised as livestock refuges. They were mapped as part of the Historic England Isle of Thanet project in 2024. (1-2)
