The two curvilinear features appear to define the ring ditch of a Bronze Age barrow. The ditch was 2.00-2.30m wide and was projected to have an internal diameter of approximately 10.00m. Each exposed segment was investigated, although neither was slot was bottomed. The southern ditch was excavated to a depth of 0.50m, exposing three fills. The northern ditch was excavated to a depth of 0.54, exposing one fill. Both ditch slots produced pottery, spot dating exclusively to the Late Bronze Age/Iron Age. Worked flint, burnt flint and animal bone were also recovered. It is possible that the unidentified curved feature in Trench 7 may also represent part of another ring ditch to its north-east, whilst the evaluation of the site in 2006 (Gallop 2006) may have exposed a third, located further upslope, close to the site boundary.
