The site of a Second World War gun emplacement on an extensive trench system between Birchington and Plumbpudding Island mapped from aerial photographs RAF/26J/BR194 VB 37 10-JAN-1941(1) as part of the Historic England Thanet Landscape Mapping Project 2024. The site has now been levelled (2).
