Full Description
Cropmarks of a group of probably medieval settlement enclosures visible on Next Perspectives APGB Imagery 14-APR-2015 aerial photographs which were mapped as part of the Historic England Isle of Thanet Landscape mapping project in 2024. The remains appear as a linear group of fragmented rectilinear ditched enclosures aligined NW-SE on the eastern side of a small former inlet on the northern shore of the Isle of Thanet prior to silting up in the during and after the medieval period. This is one of a number of similar settlement sites located just below the 5m contour around the shore of the former Brooksend inlet (1).
