Full Description
Pits of uncertain date were visible as cropmarks in NMR 4177/26 01-AUG-1988 and Next Perspectives APGB Imagery 14-APR-2015. They are smaller than cropmarks of pits in this area that have been interpreted as Medieval/post-Medieval extractive pits. They are not clearly associated with nearby cropmarks of later prehistoric enclosures although may be part of an area of settlement. They were mapped as part of the Historic England Isle of Thanet project in 2024. (1-2)
