Monument record TQ 87 NW 1211 - The earthwork remains of two broad perpendicular ditches joined by a curving corner to the east of the present-day Moat Farm
Summary
The earthwork remains of two broad perpendicular ditches joined by a curving corner to the east of the present-day Moat Farm. The ditches are linked with a large pond to the north of the farm and may be associated with the moated site which gives the farm its name. A thinner ditch, probably a drain extends NNE from the corner of the main ditch. These features were mapped from aerial photographs as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project.
