Full Description
A Middle Iron Age - Roman ditch and an undated ditch were excavated at Bridgefield Park, Ashford during an evaluation in 2017. These comprised an undated ditch terminus, and WNW-ESE aligned ditch following the same alignment as a boundary ditch identified during an earlier excavation at an adjacent site. This feature could be Middle Iron Age – Roman in date and may relate to a settlement of this date to the west of the evaluation. (1)
