Full Description

Cropmark of fragmented remains of parallel ditches of a possible rectilinear settlement enclosure visible on aerial photographs - RAF/HLA/564 V 6019 01-JUN-1942. The site .This is one of a number of enclosures in this immediate area which may form a larger contemporary settlement. The enclosures are in a linear(NE-SW) arrangement suggesting location on former tracks or roads. The cropmarks of a a large possibly post medieval extractive pit is located on the SE side of the site. These features was mapped as part of the Historic England Thanet Landscape Mapping Project 2024 (1)
