Cropmarks of possible Roman or medieval rectilinear enclosures visible on aerial photographs -HEA_29750_006 29-JUN-2015, HEA 29749/37 29-JUN-2015, NMR 3115/0103 02-JUL-1986 and Next Perspectives APGB Imagery 21-APR-2007. The remains appear as fragments of perpendicular ditched enclosures on either side of and on the same alignment as the Shottendane Road. This common alignment may suggest this is the remains of a medieval settlement or fields on the roadside. There are three pits of uncertain date within the enclosures on the north side of the road which may be associated with the enclosures, or represent the remains of post-medieval extraction. This site was mapped mapped as part of the Historic England Thanet Landscape Mapping Project 2024. (1-4)
