Full Description
A roadblock of Second World War date was visible as structures in RAF/HLA/564 V 6045 01-JUN-1942. It was positioned on the Cliffs End road, about 290m west of the fuel tanks for RAF Manston's FIDO system. It comprised obstacles on the roadway and a group of small huts closely positioned on the south side of the road. These features were recorded as demolished structures in Next Perspectives APGB Imagery 07-APR-2021 and were mapped as part of the Historic England Isle of Thanet project in 2024. (1-2)
