Full Description

Two emergency water supply tanks of Second World War date were seen as structures in RAF/106G/UK/1378 FV 7101 04-APR-1946. The cylindrical tanks were positioned immediately to the north-west of the fuel tanks that served RAF Manston's FIDO system (MKE104167). A small hut stood adjacent to the water tanks. These features were recorded as demolished structures in Next Perspectives APGB Imagery 07-APR-2021. They were mapped as part of the Historic England Isle of Thanet project in 2024. (1-2)
