Full Description
A workshop, hut and ablutions block serving the RAF Manston FIDO system of Second World War date were seen as structures in RAF/106G/UK/1378 FV 7101 04-APR-1946.
The workshop on the western side is described as the FIDO Repair Shop on a map of RAF Manston airfield held by the RAF Museum (Hendon) (reference X004-2380). The hut on the eastern side is decribed as a FIDO Office. The small ablutions bock is described as a latrine for the FIDO staff.
They were recorded as demolished structures in Next Perspectives APGB Imagery 07-APR-2021 and were mapped as part of the Historic England Isle of Thanet project in 2024. (1-3)
